We had a great weekend at Melview Lodge celebrating my uncle’s 60th birthday, the only thing we had to do was eating, drinking, sleeping and of course catch Pike. Thanks a million for your hospitality you both made it the perfect weekend, and we will definitely return for some of your great Pike fishing.

I would just like to say thank you for your hospitality at your B&B. Myself, Sarah and Ryan enjoyed ourself and intend to return next year. I have never felt so relaxed after a holiday like this and have found it hard to get back to normality. Thanks once again and cannot wait to see you in March 2012.

I had two wonderful weeks at Melview Lodge this August, I didn’t think things could be improved upon from previous visits but things just keep getting better! The accommodation was as good as ever, as were the breakfasts. I will certainly tell everyone I know thinking of going to Ireland to fish, to ensure they stay at Melview Lodge.

Speaking for the entire Markham family we just want to thank you for your sincere hospitality whilst staying at your B&B this summer. Your home is both beautiful and welcoming, it was voted our favourite place at the end of our two week Ireland journey! We look forward to someday repeating our tour and staying with you again.

Travelled from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, made very welcome by Kev & Jane, those little extras made all the difference to our stay even the weather was kind to us, see ya from the Yorkshire girls!

I would like to commend Kev & Jane on there hospitality and service both Jim and I had a most fantastic holiday the fishing was great and the accommodation was brilliant. We both put weight on due to the huge dinners and pack lunches (nothing to do with that lovely Guinness off course). Thanks for the time and effort you put in, showing us swims, your knowledge of the area is second to none, can’t wait to come back next year

This was our third successive visit to our host Kevin & Jane at Melview Lodge, Longford, caught plenty of fish for 6 days, not to bore you any further we had a great weeks fishing which flew by too quickly. The whole experience was made even better by the excellent facilities provided by our hosts, who not only supplied us with beers but went out of their way our every needs were met, thank you to Kev and the family all the best take care and thanks again

Just a note to say thank you very much for making out stay a very special week in the life of two anglers you not only put on us on the right pegs to ‘bag up’ with catches of 40-60kg but you made sure you had everything we needed, the accommodation at your house is next to none and ideal after a hard days fishing. Good food, a chat and a pint how good can life get, will see you again

First time at Melview Lodge and we were most impressed, Kev’s knowledge of local and surrounding areas is second to none, it’s the first time in many years fishing in Ireland when the host will put so much time and effort trying to help you make the magic ton. Boats, sandwiches, excellent rooms and a warm friendly atmosphere, it’s all here and we won’t be going anywhere else in the future, thanks Kev and Jane.
