Belgium anglers Jean C and brother David were over once again to Ireland and Melview Lodge for a spot of Pike fishing, this time around they were joined by David’s son Baptiste and friends Xavier and Gilles. The first couple of days were difficult for them due to very bad weather conditions, however they made the most of their trip by fishing from the banks rather than boats in the bad rain and high winds. Kevin said the bothers knew their way around as they had been a few times before, but it all came good for them on land and the boat. Using both dead baits and soft Lures they were able to catch some lovely fish into double figures along with a few in their twenties, Kevin said I even had a couple of days out with them myself and manage some nice fish but we will report on that next week. A great time had by all, thanks lads and hope to see you all again next year.
